The Danish company specializing in marine fuels, Bunker One UK, has completed the acquisition of the assets of Quay Energy Solutions, a well-established British company operating in the naval fuel sector. The agreement also includes the launch of a strategic partnership with Par Petroleum, which will provide Bunker One with full national coverage for road-based bunkering, complementing its existing barge refueling operations.
Under the terms of the agreement, the entire Quay Energy workforce and existing client contracts have been transferred to Bunker One, ensuring full operational continuity with the same team. Adam Russell, co-founder of Quay Energy Solutions, highlighted the company’s significant growth in recent years and expressed satisfaction with the achievements reached from the ground up. He described the partnership with a global player like Bunker One as a strategic opportunity for both companies, anticipating further expansion in the UK maritime sector.
Grant Foulger, CEO of Bunker One UK, also highlighted the benefits of integrating Quay Energy, emphasizing that the addition of two highly experienced professionals brings significant value and will play a key role in driving the company’s growth in the UK market.
