TSMC reports record revenue and strengthens partnership with Nvidia

Shares of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. (TSMC) rose in pre-market trading this Monday following the release of strong financial results for October, highlighting sustained demand for advanced semiconductors. Specifically, the Taiwanese manufacturer reported consolidated net revenue of approximately TWD 367.47 billion for October 2025, representing a 16.9% increase compared to the same month last year and an 11.0% rise over the previous quarter.

Cumulative revenue from January to October reached TWD 3.13 trillion, marking a 33.8% increase compared to the same period last year. Last week, the company further strengthened its partnership with Nvidia Corp (NVDA) during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Taiwan, where he met with Taiwan Semiconductor CEO C.C. Wei over a dinner in Taipei.

Huang emphasized TSMC’s pivotal role in Nvidia’s expansion, noting that demand for AI chips continues to grow “month by month” and highlighting the need to increase wafer production. TSMC remains a strategic supplier for Nvidia’s Blackwell AI platform, which is experiencing rising global demand despite changes to U.S. export restrictions. CEO C.C. Wei confirmed Huang’s request to expand wafer production capacity, although he did not provide further details.

The Blackwell systems are projected to generate revenue between $5 billion and $6 billion in Nvidia’s upcoming quarter, highlighting TSMC’s central role in AI hardware supply chains. The company’s leadership in advanced node technology positions it as a key beneficiary of the growing demand for computing power from hyperscale customers. Additionally, Taiwan Semiconductor has strengthened its U.S. presence by appointing Sajiv Dalal as CEO of its North American operations. In August, the company reported its first-ever profit from its Arizona manufacturing operations in 2025, marking a significant milestone amid the ongoing expansion of local production capacity.
