Safety21, a leading software provider specializing in smart road and smart city industry, has recently acquired Gefil, an end-to-end digital services provider for the Public Administration, focused particularly on smart city, smart mobility, and collection. The acquisition has been finalized from the Kauri Group and will allow Safety21 to consolidate its leadership in the industry by creating the largest Italian group that exclusively operates in the verticals of smart city and smart mobility. Attilio Mazzilli, who heads Orrick’s Technology Companies Group in Italy, was part of the team of legal professionals that assisted the software provider in this significant acquisition.
The transaction will see Safety21 acquire Gefil and its subsidiaries, including MegAsp, Elfo, Ne-t by Telerete Nordest, and Easyserv, subject to obtaining regulatory approvals. The Group will be able to expand its portfolio of digital services and further enhance its position in the market.
